Standard Chartered Rewards Credit Card offers domestic airport lounge access. It has has an attractive annual fee offer – annual fee is reversed if you spend ₹1.50 lakhs a year on the card; and in case you do not qualify for this annual fee waiver, you are given reward points equivalent to the annual fee of the card.

✔︎ On all monthly card spends above ₹20,000 : You earn 5.33 reward points worth ₹1.33, on every ₹100 you spend in this category – 1.33% reward. This benefit is valid for monthly card spends between ₹20,000 and ₹95,000, since you can earn a maximum 2000 bonus rewards points at this accelerated rate.
1 reward point = ₹0.25 (25 paise), and can be redeemed for products, vouchers or services, on Standard Chartered Rewards Portal called R360 . You can also redeem reward points for cashback, at a slightly lower rate of 1 reward point = ₹0.20 (20 paise).
Exceptions
1. 0.16% benefit on insurance spends and government payments (X) : You earn 0.66 reward points worth ₹0.16 or 16 paise, on every ₹100 you spend in this category.
2. No reward points are given on the below categories-
– Fuel purchases, government spends, insurance spends.
– Returned purchases, disputed or unauthorized/fraudulent transactions, transactions not initiated by the cardholder, finance charges, any other charges and fees and charged back transactions; and
– Cash advances
You get 1% fuel surcharge waiver at all fuel stations across India, only on fuel transactions between ₹400 and ₹2000. And only on fuel purchases upto ₹40,000 per month, since the maximum waiver is capped at ₹400 per monthly card statement cycle

In India, contactless payments are allowed for a maximum of ₹5000 for a single transaction without requiring a Credit Card PIN. For transactions equal to or higher than ₹5000, the cardholder must input their Credit Card PIN for security reasons.
